Tim Green

Tim Green grew up in Ohio on a farm where his parents instilled the belief, “Everything is possible for those who work hard.” Tim attended Kent State University, where he graduated with a major in Physical Education and Recreational Therapy, but his aspirations didn’t end there. To broaden his knowledge in his chosen field, Tim attended New York University Medical Center for an internship in rehabilitative medicine, which involved working with congenital and traumatically disabled children.

Upon completing his internship at NYU Tim moved to Los Angeles where he began using his remarkable gift for motivating and helping people through physical therapy and exercise, combined with his infectious humor and endless amounts of energy. Tim became instrumental in developing programs for the City of Hope, Ahead with Horses, California AIDS Ride, United Friends of the Children, Richard Simmons Reach Foundation, MacLaren Children’s Center for Abused and Battered Children, Home of Angels, and the Easter Seals Summer Camp program. In addition, Tim has contributed his time to the Children’s Hospital Infancy Research Program, Habitat for Humanity, Project Angel Food, Athletes and Entertainers for Kids, Caring for Children and Families with AIDS, and the March of Dimes.

Tim has more than twenty-eight years of experience being involved with youth organizations and has worked with kids from the inner city to the wealthiest communities and can confidently say that the common need all children have is to be loved and nurtured. Tim believes that it’s important to create role models from which kids can learn from and has devoted his energies to bringing back basic human values to children’s lives such as encouragement, self-expression, creativity and kindness towards themselves, as well as others.
